    Tour of Oxford

We will arrange a walking tour of the centre of Oxford starting at 2pm on Saturday 23rd October. MEET AT CARFAX before 2pm. The tour will last up to 2 hours (we will be walking slowly with lots of stops) and will show you some of the older parts of the city and tell you some of the funny stories about how Oxford University grew into its present state.
Everyone is welcome but you must sign-up to help us know how many to expect. There is no charge for the tour and we will have tea/coffee afterwards in one of the local cafes. Please reply to say you are coming. You are welcome to bring friends if you tell us in advance. We will give more details nearer the time.

The bonfire and fireworks display will be great! It will be followed by a party with good food and non-alcoholic drinks in the home of Richard and Catherine. There is only limited space in their home so we must restrict the numbers who can come to the house to the first 24 people to book. Please book by replying to this post. Any more people who want to come will be welcome to come to the fireworks only.
We will meet at Brookes (near the main barrier on Gipsy Lane) and start walking to the fireworks at 5.45pm on Saturday. If you pay at the park it will be £6 (the money goes to charity) but if you visit the shop called Shepherd and Woodward in the High Street in advance it will be only £5.
Do reply as soon as you can to make sure of your place.
Make sure you dress warmly, it is sure to be a cold evening at the fireworks but warm in the house afterwards.
