If you are an international student at Oxford Brookes University,
the International English Club (IEC) is THE place to be!
If you want to get to know local people, practise your English and learn more about living in Britain, come and join us on Monday nights throughout the Brookes year.
When? Mondays, 7:45 -9:45pm (see our programme for exact dates HERE)
Where? Headington Campus, Buckley Building, Wellbeing Department, Chaplaincy Room 20 (BCK.G.20) (just off the London road and on the other side of the road to the John Henry Brookes Building).
What? Each Monday there is a focus – a game or activity – designed to help you practise English and have a bit of fun. There’s plenty of time to mix and chat, cafe-style, and get to know other students and the team, who are mostly local people.
Who can come? All international (and non-British EU) Brookes students are very welcome – this is for you!
Who runs it? The international English club is run by Christian volunteers from local churches, in partnership with Brooke’s Chaplaincy, but it is not a Christian event. People of all faiths, or none, are welcome!
What else? Trips, events, meals, a chance to visit a local home. Watch our website, or better still, come along and find out!
You can join in anytime during the semester. We are always happy to see new faces, so come along and bring your friends. Feel free to look around the website for more information, and you can ask questions by sending us an email.
